Pellet stove versus propane stove. Which heats better? I like constant heat of pellet stove but is it better?

Author: Is propane stove more efficent than pellets. My stove is getting old and I’m thinking of buying a new one buy I’m hearing I should get a propane stove like the Belmont because it’s more efficient and I wouldn’t have to carry in pellets.
Propane is very expensive depending on where you live the cost is outragous this year I would see about an electic heating unit or a pellet.Pellet Stoves are kind of new so Im not sure about their effieciency but propane is about 2.25 a gallon round these parts.

Propane may be more convenient but pellet stoves use left over saw dust that is compacted into the pellets for a long hot burn. Propane is not renewable where wood is. For my money and the environment pellet stoves are the way to go.

I’m sure you’re aware of the cost of propane. I would certainly think all new appliances are more efficient then they used to be.
Your pellet stove is also efficient. With propane you’re going to loose that constant heat. I know what you’re talking about, because we heat with outside wood burner. The wood burner, of course is more efficient than propane. How could it not be.
When I hear someone say, "and you wouldn’t have to carry in pellets," this is telling me, they wouldn’t carry in pellets if their life depended on it. Bet they wouldn’t have a problem carrying in a couple cases of beer.
The price of gas and propane will do nothing but go up in price. I think we all know that. I’ll also give a wild guess that gas and propane prices aren’t going down any time soon if at all.
You’ll get more for your "buck" heating with pellets than propane.
I know we have a warmer heat burning wood than propane. Our wood burner also heats the hot water. There’s a restaurant up here in the north woods and they heat the place with a pellet stove. All you have to do is go into other peoples homes and know right away their thermostats are turned down because of the of gas or propane prices. Up here in the north woods, it’s mostly propane except for the people who burn wood or pellets.
Can’t tell you what to do. I always say, If you’re happy with what you have, why change it. Again, that’s up to you.
Will say this, they’re both efficient, but you also have to look at cost.
